How To Get More Instagram Followers For Your Profile?
On April 28, 2023 by Bryan CampbellIt’s a standard goal for companies to strive towards on social media as they establish their brand. For some, getting to this level shows you have what it takes to become a major player in your field as an influential online voice.
However, as influencer marketing grows in popularity, some Instagrammers are resorting to buying lists of potential followers in the hopes of attracting the attention of even a fraction of them. Buying a list, especially in a business-to-business context, can bring in low-quality visitors who won’t be around long and generate leads that aren’t a good fit for your company.
Growing your social media following organically is a much more secure (and lucrative) strategy. There will be a lot more people talking about your brand, reading your content, and potentially buying what you’re selling if you focus on increasing brand engagement.
Here are ten easy ways to attract tens of thousands of Instagram followers without spending a dime.
Try different things until you find your niche
If you’ve been posting on Instagram for a while but haven’t seen the kind of engagement you were hoping for, try something new. Alter the tone of your captions and the nature of the content you provide. Then check out the data to find out what kind of material is resonating with your audience. You might also take a cue or two from the social media strategies of other firms that you admire. Once you know what kind of material and tone works best for your audience, keep putting out posts in that vein.
Consistency is key
The steady expansion of your fan base can be jeopardised by too much risk-taking. I, too, have been known to stray “off-brand” on occasion. When I’m feeling uninspired as an illustrator, I switch up my style for a while… and then I find myself losing fans. When someone has been following you for a while, they begin to anticipate content they know they will appreciate. If you’ve found your niche, don’t go too far from it without a well-thought-out approach, but don’t be afraid to sprinkle in different sorts of material here and there.
Get moving
Do you frequently use Instagram? Do you frequently interact with the content of others by like and commenting on their photos? Starting with postings that are closely followed by individuals in your target market is a terrific approach to be noticed. However, if you post too frequently, Instagram’s algorithms may mistake you for a spam bot and punish you. The Internet is full of unpleasant people who programme links to their websites, etc., into automated comments posted on influencer channels. Even on the PMG blog, we see posts like that and swiftly remove them. Therefore, it is essential to maintain a high, yet socially appropriate, degree of communication.
Someone who has 7,450 followers but follows 7,500 people (corrected; thanks, Andrew!) makes me suspicious that they aren’t posting particularly interesting or useful content but are just trying to increase their own follower count. Having patience is essential when working to build a dedicated following. You won’t get anywhere with your B2B brand’s social media strategy if you only follow people in hopes that they’ll follow you back.
Always tell the truth
Instagram posts sometimes feel staged. Is that person living in a perfect world? Who keeps such a spotless kitchen? Don’t be scared to let your true self shine through and make material that people can connect with. The unique selling points of your company should be promoted. Posting user-generated content, third-party information, or even employee quotations will also give light on what your company values and prioritises, but it will still be filtered to some degree. If you’re familiar with video, try using the Instagram Stories feature to show off your company’s culture or your own unique personality.
Try not to puff up your own importance too much
Wow, congrats on your success! You should definitely make a post about that, since it’s awesome. Don’t restrict your content to nothing to awards, verifications, and raves. In a similar vein, it’s not a good idea to spend an inordinate amount of time praising your own wares. In reality, you should not devote much time to that. Your Instagram followers aren’t there for your constant stream of advertisements. They want to see that you have a human side, or that your company has a human aspect. They are looking for humorous and innovative inspiration.
Make sure your material is timely
Improving engagement with your account can be as simple as keeping up with current events, industry news, and pop culture. Watch for emerging trends and think of ways to incorporate them into your website design. Is there a fresh viral meme making the rounds? Consider how you may tweak it to better represent your company. Has there been news recently that could have an effect on your business? Put your own twist on a topic, write a post for your blog, and share it on all your social media accounts (especially Instagram!) Using trending topics and timely events can increase the number of people who see your material, especially if you employ the right hashtags.
Find key opinion leaders and engage with them
Follow the most influential people in your field of study or work. Keep an eye on the content they’re sharing and the comments others are making. Then feel free to chime in. If you answer to someone who is following or talking with you, they are probably part of your target audience, and you may gain a new follower as a result.
